The Cost of Becoming a Pilot

The straightforward version, and the honest one

Pay as you fly. You are billed for the hours as you fly them, so this arrives across a year rather than as one payment at the start.

Most students complete their training within 40 to 60 flight hours. The actual time depends on training frequency, individual progress and how consistently skills are retained between lessons. The goal is not to finish at a particular number — it is to become a safe, proficient and confident pilot.

Pricing is calculated on FAA minimums. Actual costs vary depending on the student's effort, consistency, and prior experience. Rates and testing fees are subject to change.
